Armadillo Front Access Mailbox
AR01FConstructed of heavy, 14 gauge Galvanneal steel, the Armadillo mailbox is large enough to accept magazines, large envelopes and small packages. Styled similar to a traditional mailbox, this secure model has an internal "flip" door that allows mail to fall deep into the secure holding area. "Flip" door includes a comb-like feature to deter "fishing" theft attempts. This product is hand welded and assembled by experienced craftsmen.

I bought this to replace my 20-year old Armadillo mailbox. The only reason I needed to replace the mailbox was because my neighbor had his sprinklers spraying on my mailbox for many years, and I never noticed until about a year ago. The rust was too far gone so salvage the damages, but the mailbox was still holding up. Regardless, I just decided to get a new one for curb appeal.
This is a great mailbox. I live in Arizona (hot sun) and I even sprayed the recommended stuff on it, but the paint is wearing off…any suggestions?
We had one of the front access Armadillo mailboxes for years and it stopped our mail theft problem. Road crew ran over our existing mailbox and it will need to be replaced, too damaged to repair. Lasted 40 years.
This unit is great. You never have to worry about asking neighbors to pick up your mail for you; as many know, that does not work too well on many occasions. My neighbor saw me getting one, and he got one as well. I love that they have colors now. When I originally purchased mine, they only had haze gray and black. This is a superior product!
